Mobile Applications Privacy Disclosure

This Mobile Applications Privacy Disclosure (“Disclosure”) is provided by Transportation Alliance Bank, Inc. d/b/a TAB Bank (“TAB Bank”). This Disclosure explains how TAB Bank collects, uses, retains, and discloses information. TAB Bank’s Mobile Applications for Accounts (“Apps”) allow you to access your account balances make deposits, transfers, and pay bills on your mobile device. This Disclosure applies to any Personal Information or Other Information that we may collect through the Apps.

We may collect personal information when you enter data into an application for new products or services or when you use our websites, products, or services. Personal information may include, but not be limited to, your name, access number, other credentials, home or other physical address, Social Security Number, the contents of your communications with us, telephone number, and email address. Additionally, we may collect certain electronic data, including but not limited to your geolocation, IP address, keystrokes, website interactions, and device identifier.

What does TAB Bank do with your personal information from the mobile App(s)?

Location Information

If you have enabled location services on your phone and agree to the collection of your location when prompted by the Services, we will collect location data when you use the Services even when the app is closed or not in use; for example, to provide our fraud detection services. If you do not want us to collect this information, you may decline the collection of your location when prompted or adjust the location services settings on your device.

Opting Out of Location Tracking

If you initially consented to the collection of geo-location information through the Services, you can subsequently stop the collection of this information at any time by changing the preferences on your mobile device. Please note, however, that if you withdraw consent to our collection of location information, you may no longer be able to use some features of the App.

Why?
The mobile Apps request access to information stored on your device such as location, camera, contacts, images, or other features you are enrolled in to enrich and simplify your own user experience and improve our services, as well as provide additional security to protect your account.

It is important for you to understand that:

  • Before granting access to this information, you will be prompted to give the App that permission.
  • If you do not wish to grant that permission, you may decline.
  • If you later change your mind, those permissions can be updated in your device’s settings.

What?
Some examples of information the App will request access to are:

  • Location – Your location is used to prevent fraudulent activity and to display locations near you.
  • Contacts – Allowing access lets you add contacts to use with features that allow you to send money via your mobile App. We will only add the contacts you choose, and that information will not be shared.
  • Camera/Images – This app uses your camera to capture check images, take pictures of receipts, scan ID, scan authorized QR codes, and to conduct video chat.

How?
To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings. The application information is retained in accordance with state and federal record retention laws. Please contact us to determine specific timeframes for your personal stored information and if that information may be deleted.

Data Retention
TAB Bank will keep Personal Information no longer than is necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Disclosure. Under TAB Bank’s retention policy, TAB Bank is required to destroy Personal Information after it is no longer needed in accordance with specific retention periods as set forth in the retention policy. However, TAB Bank may need to hold Personal Information beyond these retention periods due to regulatory or legal requirements.

Changes or Updates to this Disclosure
TAB Bank may change or update this Disclosure from time to time, and the revised Disclosure will be posted to TAB Bank’s website indicating when the Disclosure was last updated.
